Encourage Young Entrepreneurs -Hon. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal

The Minister for Business Development under the office of the President Hon. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal has called on business institutions to encourage and support young entrepreneurs to scale up their entrepreneurship values.

According to him, entrepreneurship is the backbone of government, and therefore needs the support of Ghanaians and relevant institutions to be able to sustain it and for job creation. Accompanying the Minister was the communication Specialist of the ministry of business development Mr. Kofi Twum Boafo.

The Minister disclosed this at the launch of the African Heritage Outlet and Online Mall (AHOOM) last Friday the 8th December, 2017, in Accra.

“Entrepreneurship is the future… The ministry of Business Development is there to create a sustainable and most business-friendly, entrepreneurial, innovative and business enabling environment, that fosters private sector-led investment for creation and livelihoods”

He however affirmed his support to AHOOM to help acquire funding and also partner with relevant institutions for more job creations and also expose their products to the international markets.

The Hon. Minister urged the French Ambassador His Excellency Francois Pujolas who was present at the event to take a critical look at the Ghana Entrepreneurship agenda.

In response, the French Ambassador pledged his full support from his Government to encourage and uplift or scale up entrepreneurship agenda.

A representative from the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Agnes Gifty Adjei-Sam also reaffirmed her support to AHOOM.

AHOOM is a social entrepreneur initiative of Group NALLEM STM with the key objective of providing a platform for artisans.

Present at the launching was the C.E.O OF AHOOM, Mr, Gregory Tanko who passionately appealed to government and stakeholders including the artisans to come collectively to achieve the governments’ initiatives to boost up entrepreneurship.
