Government disbursed GH¢2 million to 1,000 disabled men entrepreneurs

On Friday, 24th July, 2020, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuf0-Addo in a short ceremony presented an amount of GH¢2 million to one thousand (1,000) disabled men entrepreneurs, under the Ministry of Business Development’s Presidential Empowerment for Male Entrepreneurs with Disability (PEMED).
Fifty percent (50%) percent of the financial support on offer are grants, whilst the other fifty percent (50%) are interest free loans payable over two years. This is a demonstration of Government’s commitment to empower financially, one thousand (1,000) beneficiaries of this initiative, and help mainstream them into national economic activity.
The program is an initiative by Government to enhance the entrepreneurial capacity of men to enable them to contribute to economic development. Through this initiative, male entrepreneurs across the country with disabilities would not only contribute to job creation but would also support efforts at creating wealth and improving livelihoods.
